Winter is just around the corner and the holidays aren’t far behind. Before you get too busy this holiday season, be sure to get out and enjoy all the great events in St. Louis this November. From the Soldiers Memorial reopening to the many holiday light festivals taking place, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this month in St. Louis.

Soldiers Memorial Reopening

When: November 5, 2018
Where: 1300 Market Street
St. Louis, MO

Help commemorate the grand reopening of the revitalized Soldiers Memorial Military Museum, beginning with a musical arrangement honoring veterans. A formal ceremony will follow, with remarks from veterans and civic leaders. After the ceremony, stay to explore the new exhibits and the renovated museum. This event is free and open to the public.

The first 5,000 visitors to Soldiers Memorial will receive commemorative pins. Additionally, the US Postal Service will conduct a stamp cancellation commemorating the grand reopening of Soldiers Memorial from 11am to 1pm.

Food trucks will be available from 8am to 2pm.

American Sign Language interpretation will be provided at this program.

Brewery Lights

We’re brewing up some holiday magic at the St. Louis brewery where guests can enjoy more than a million twinkling lights, special beer, food and entertainment this holiday season. The Brewery Lights will kick off the holidays with a public lighting ceremony on Nov. 15 at 5:30 p.m. with the help of a special guest.

This family friendly event features fun for all ages. Enjoy the Bud Light Ice Skating rink which is back again this year! Come visit our Kid Zone where kids of all ages can take a ride on our Bevo Express train, enjoy Frosty’s Winter Wonderland on the big screen, play Ice Breaker or enjoy the Lite Brite and afterwards the whole family can warm up at our Soup Bar.

While this is a free event, there are several special packages and a la carte options available to guests including a sampling wristband for guests 21 and older to enjoy a complimentary 16oz. beer sample along the tour route, and food will be available for purchase. Visit the Gift Shop and our special Holiday Pop-up Shop to do some quick holiday shopping.

Drive-through tours are welcome at the St. Louis brewery Monday through Wednesday evenings  after dusk until midnight. Visitors can enter from Arsenal Street turning onto Seventh Street and then travel along Pestalozzi Street.

The Polar Express Train Ride

Onboard a real train, as they are whisked off to “the North Pole” they will relive the magic of the classic children’s book THE POLAR EXPRESS by Chris Allsburg. In the story a young boy takes a magical Christmas Eve train ride to the North Pole and receives a special gift from Santa.

Winterfest Ice Rink 2018 Season

Experience an ice skating rink like no other! Grab your skates and enjoy this outdoor rink in the heart of Kiener Plaza. In the shadow of the Gateway Arch or under its new lights, the Winterfest Ice Rink is a great winter destination with regular hours and special events November 17, 2018 – January 1, 2019! Enjoy the rink, sip hot chocolate in the renovated park, or explore the play ground.

Ameren Missouri Festival of Lights

The Ameren Missouri Festival of Lights, MC’d by Marissa Hollowed and Cory Stark from KMOV officially ushers in the Holiday Season with a host of entertainment, lighting of the Salvation Army Tree of Lights, a festive fireworks finale and the Winterfest skating rink in partnership with the Gateway Arch Park Foundation.

Winter Wonderland is open for vehicular traffic and carriage rides every day except Mondays and Saturdays from 5:30pm – 9:30pm. Saturdays are reserved for carriage rides only. Mondays are reserved for Winter Wonderland Walk only.

Ameren Thanksgiving Day Parade

When: November 22, 2018
Where: Downtown St. Louis

Celebrating its 34th year, the 2018 Ameren Thanksgiving Day Parade will step off at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, November 22 from 20th Street and Market Street and proceed east towards Broadway in Downtown St. Louis. The parade will be broadcast live on KMOV-TV Channel 4, awarded an Emmy for their production of the 2015 parade.

We expect over 130 parade units, including musical floats and displays, giant helium balloon figures, animal units, restored antique cars and firetrucks, and marching bands from around the St. Louis region. As always, Santa Claus will be present to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas at the end of the parade.

Six Flags St. Louis: Holiday in the Park

It’s the most wonderful time of the year as we celebrate the holidays. Besides cheer the park will be featuring thrilling rides, tasty treats and exciting family entertainment for the holiday season!

On select days November 23 – January 1, the park will be transformed into a winter wonderland with thousands of colorful lights, carolers performing classic yuletide favorites, personalized meet-and-greets with Santa and his helpers, and everyone’s favorite Looney Tunes characters.

Enjoy all the wonderful aromas of the season while satisfying your appetite and quenching your thirst with hot chocolate, cider, custom fudge, holiday-inspired funnel cake flavors, and many other traditional favorites.
